Fonética y gramática is a Spanish program resource designed to develop phonics, word study, and grammar skills so that students in grades K-2 learn to read and write well in Spanish. This resource follows a traditional Spanish phonics sequence and includes authentic Spanish poems, stories, and nonfiction text to engage students in building initial Spanish language literacy skills.
This resource is divided into three grade-level sets, and each grade-level set is divided into ten three-week lessons.
- Grade K: Instructional resources and decodable books build students’ knowledge of letter combinations and words.
- Grade 1: Lessons about letter combinations, word types, and punctuation are reinforced by activities and reading decodable books.
- Grade 2: Students continue learning about word types and grammar and then they apply the knowledge and skills while reading passages in an anthology.
